What happened in April?

April had a rocky start. I was going half yearly exams and then came the holidays. Didn’t do much at that time either so it was a pretty mellow month for me. I mostly did research for the bookish magazine and for my blog. Let’s dive into what I was up to last month

@alyssaisreading – Instagram

  • When We Collided by Emery Lord – sent to me by Bloomsbury for review
  • The Haters by Jesse Andrews – sent to me by Allen & Unwin for review

I reached 3k On bookstagram!

Last month I reached 2K on my Instagram and hosted a giveaway to celebrate! I was so excited to draw out names and sent out the package to the winner, @clockworkreads

bullet journals

I’ve been seeing bullet journals around for a few months now and they looked so much fun ❤ You can personalise it and make it yours in any way while helping you keep productive as well. I made a whole post about it and dedicated a Pinterest board to them as well 🙂

I have been crazy obsessed with Pinterest. Mostly I use it to look at pretty photos of coffee and bullet journals but also to find new blogs, bookish and non-bookish, to follow. You can find my profile here.

Media Musings is basically a time where I look back on the music, movies and TV moments that have stood out to me this month.

→ I saw Zootopia and Captain America last month ❤ ❤ ❤ I was so excited for Captain America in particular being a huge marvel fan. And I got even more excited when I saw the trailer with Spiderman in it. Seeing the movie got me thinking if I should try movie reviews, hmm, thoughts?

  • April was so unproductive for me
  • I used Pinterest almost everyday ❤
  • I started engaging more with other people from bookstagram
  • Bullet journals, bullet journals, bullet journals ❤ ❤ ❤

    I would definitely read your movie reviews, especially one for Civil War! I might have to get one of those bullet journals, because they seem quite useful indeed 😁
